Public transport, such as buses, usually are a more eco-friendly option. If we are going short distances a bicycle is, of course, the best alternative. Increasingly, it is possible to select accommodations with proprietors that are environmentally responsible. There are interesting accommodations in many places around the world that are committed to reducing their impact on the environment. Some of these practises could be anything from the cleaning products they use to water saving appliances or even serving locally produced food. Some tour opporators provide eco vacations that reduce the environmental impact by careful planning.
